“Excuse me,” you told the two men who walked through the front door of your apartment. “I don’t remember calling the fire department.”
You muted the television and turned more fully to watch as your boyfriends stepped through the front door. Sonny immediately cracked a grin and puffed out his chest a little. Nick shook his head at you minutely in dismay even as he fought a grin of his own. The smell of onion, garlic and cumin wafted from the bag in Nick’s hand and you perked up even more as they closed the door behind them.
“Ma’am, we’ve come to inspect your smoke alarm,” Sonny replied with faux sincerity. You leered at him in response as you stood to your feet. Crossing the room you pressed kiss to his lips and then Nick’s. You peeked at the bag in Nick’s hand and saw that it was from your favorite Ethiopian food place so you immediately followed them into the kitchen.
