“I don’t wanna go without you.” And mc! Nick?

DRAMA.

////

You picked up your phone absently, glancing down at the picture of you and Nick smiling before you answered it.

“Hey babe. I’ve got thirty more minutes before I’m out of here. What’s up?” you greeted, trying to keep your voice low. You wanted to decline the call and text him, but Nick went berserk if he tried to call and you didn’t pick up. Something about needing to hear your voice and knowing it was you he was talking to. You indulged him, even if the calls sometimes came at inopportune times.

“(y/n),” Nick started and the serious tone of his voice and the use of your first name had you sitting up straighter. “You need to make an excuse. I’m outside. You need to leave now,” he told you and before he’d even finished talking you were packing your bag. You shot off a quick e-mail to your boss and told her that you’d work on the last it of paperwork over the weekend, not even thinking of debating with Nick.

“I’m coming outside now. Be there in a few,” you said as you stuffed your laptop in your bag and went to hang up.

“Stay on the line!” Nick barked and it startled you so much you almost dropped the phone on the floor.

“Okay, okay. I’m not hanging up,” you soothed as you headed down the hall. “I’m walking down the hall now. Almost to the door,” you told him so that he didn’t have to wonder. Something serious had him on edge. Getting to the front door you pushed through it and saw him parked outside, still on his bike with both feet on the ground. Razor was next to him and there was a white cargo van haphazardly pulled next to the curb in the spot reserved for the fire department. Razor had a grim expression on his face and that alone exacerbated your alarm, it was rare to see him without some kind of smile on his face.

You didn’t hang up the phone until you were right in front of Nick, even though you knew he could see you clearly. When you got closer he finally put the kickstand down on his bike, swinging his leg over and meeting your stride to pull you into his arms. He held you tightly and you returned his embrace, rubbing his back a little to try to calm whatever had him so on the edge.

I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that,” he apologized and it came out muffled with his face still half in your hair. You shushed him and squeezed tighter.

“It’s okay,” you said lowly and he pressed a kiss to your head before pulling back.

“I need you to go to the club house, we’re all on lockdown,” Nick explained and gestured to the van behind him. You knew you wouldn’t get any more details now so there was no sense in even asking.

“I can drive. They can—” you started and Nick cut you off again.

“No,” he said sharply. “You’re going to ride with them. Give me your keys, Snake will drive your car to the club house behind you guys. You are to stay with them. Entiendes, reina?” Nick asked and he grasped your chin in his hand gently to look up at him. You nodded and whatever look he saw in your eyes had him dropping his hand hastily.

“I…They’ll explain in the car. I don’t have the time. Razor and I need to go meet up with—” he started again with a sigh and you interrupted him this time.

“You’re not coming with us?” you asked in a panicked tone. Nick shook his head and Razor shifted uncomfortably as Snake walked over to you with an upturned palm. You handed him your keys, wide eyes still on Nick. “I don’t wanna go without you,” you begged and he shook his head and looked away, taking a step back.

“I’m sorry, amor. You have to. I’ll be—we’ll be okay. Stay in my room, no one will bother you. You are not to leave. Entiendes? You cannot leave while we’re on lock down,” he ordered and you took a stumbling step towards the van even as you looked over at him.

“I don’t—I don’t have any of my stuff. How long will…?” you tripped over your words and resisted a little as the prospect got out of the passenger side of the van and tried to pull you towards it. Planting your feet you shook him off with a sharp glare.

“Stop,” Nick ordered the prospect and he dropped his hands and took a step back. “You’re not to touch her. Any of you. Do you understand me?” he asked in a deadly quiet voice as he stared them down. The prospect nodded, Randy you think his name was, and Nick held his gaze a little longer before turning to you and softening.

“I don’t know. Not longer than a day. I’m sorry. I have to go. Stay at the club house, you’ll be safe there,” Nick said to you in a quieter voice and you broke off into a short jog to him, pulling him into another hug and kiss. His touch was bruising and you tried to pull yourself closer to him, scared and worried for his safety and not knowing when you’d see him next. He pushed you away gently after a minute. “

Go,” he said softly with a jerk of his head and you backed away back to the van, climbing in obediently. He hopped back on his bike and you couldn’t hear what Razor called to him as he turned on his engine, but whatever it was had him looking up at you in the van one last time before he kicked away from the curb and took off out of the parking lot without another look back.
