Hello! Could you maybe talk about Peter and his S/O during her pregnancy? Like from him finding out about it to the birth? I’ve got some Peter feels and this would be just perfect.

• When you tell Peter you’re pregnant, his face is blank and confused for a second before he gets it and breaks out into a wide grin
• “We’re gonna be parents? I’m gonna be a Dad!” He picks you up and spins you around, before setting you down on the bed and cupping your belly
• When you do start showing, Peter gets so happy. “That’s our baby! Our baby is growing honey!” He presses kisses to your swell whenever he gets the chance
• So. Many. Baby books. Peter knows how to handle kids from watching over some of his friends’ kids before, but doesn’t know much about babies. He wants to be prepared for anything and everything
• When it’s time to find out your baby’s sex, Peter is bouncing in his seat. He’s imagining all the moments he’ll have with his child
• When you two learn you’re having a baby boy, Peter smiles so wide before faltering. On the drive home he’s quiet. But when you get home he explains
• “My Dad was never close to me.. what if I mess this kid up by not being the father figure he needs? What if I’m working late all the time like my Dad used to, or missing out on his school plays and baseball games, what if-”
• “Peter! Take a breath,” you had been calling his name for a while now, “you’re going to be a great father Petey, you’re already so good. You’ve been taking such good care of me… don’t let the mistakes of your father shadow over your parenting. You’re going to do great.”
• He kisses you in gratitude, sometimes he needs you to be there to ground him
• The more he thinks about his Dad, the more he realizes that old Ben was trying to protect him. It doesn’t dissolve his feelings of abandonment, but what Jack McCoy told him about his old man really stuck with him
• When he brings up that he wants to name the baby Ben, you’re surprised but you don’t argue. Ben is a perfect name
• Doesn’t let you lift a finger in building the nursery, also doesn’t let you lift a finger for hospital stay prepping
• When your water does break, Peter doesn’t freak out. You’re surprised because he’s been an anxious nut for the past few weeks
• 13 hours of labor, and lots of swearing at Peter, later and you welcome your baby boy into the world
• Benjamin Michael Stone is born screaming into the world, healthy and pink
• Once he’s had first skin to skin contact with you, been cleaned up, weighed, and measured, the nurse hands baby Ben back to you with a “you have a beautiful child.”
• “You wanna hold him?” Peter looks anxious, he doesn’t want to drop the baby… but then you’re putting the infant into his arms and reflex takes over
• Ben grunts at being moved, but when his eyes flutter open and he sees his Daddy’s face, he calms
• “Hi Benny, I’m your Daddy,” the newborn stretches and yawns in his arms before falling back asleep
• Peter carefully leans over to kiss you, he’s never been happier in his whole life
