On the 13th we’ll watch the week’s episode and on the 27th we’ll either watch that week’s episode or have a mini marathon of SVU’s Halloween episodes! Let me know in the comments/tags/etc which you prefer for the 27th.
As before, we’ll be using Rabbit [this link [https://www.rabb.it/] ], which you need to download prior to the time of the watch party. There is no web cam element because Rabbit is an audio/visual sharing service with one host and a chat element for people to join in while we watch together. Absolutely no pressure to chat, so even if you just want to come to check it out, that is completely okay! I’ll send out the link to the chat room by the Friday prior (I think it’ll be the same link).

we’re using Rabbit to host the sleepover/hang out. you do not need Hulu or anything, but you do need to sign up for Rabbit and set it up prior to the time we’re all going to watch together.
it won’t be nighttime for all of us since I wanted to try to get the brits & parisians in there with us, but that’s okay!
other FAQs: do I have to show my face? no! it’s not a videochat, Rabbit is a screen sharing platform with a chat feature: so I share my screen playing the video and we can all chat together. I’ll be sharing video for us to watch SVU together.
how will this work? I (@carisi-dreams) will share the link to the chatroom with everyone who has RSVP’d and then you will use the link to login and watch together. I’ll wait 5 minutes to make sure everyone is in there before I hit play, so please be on time! [time zone converter] I will not enter the room until 30 minutes prior to the watch time, so if you enter in early…nothing will be happening because it won’t be up for me yet.
what if I can’t get in? wait a few minutes, and then if you’re still not in, try to request entry again. there seems to be a delay between when you send the request and when I get it, so please do not panic and immediately message me on tumblr. it creates a lot of confusion if a bunch of people do that, especially since that means if I’m on tumblr responding to messages (literally all I can tell you is to keep trying) then I’m not on Rabbit accepting invitations…give it a few moments!
what is Rabbit? it’s a video sharing & chatroom site that allows us to watch movies/tv together and talk about it all on the same platform
do I have to talk in the chat? nope! no pressure at all
how many people can the chat hold? 25 in order to keep the audio/visual feature (video streaming) working. so make sure you RSVP ASAP so that you get the link and so that you can make it in the chat room with us! [we have space for 11 more]
are there any rules? yeah, normal ones like don’t be a jerk. this is a fictional show…it’s great to be passionate, but watch what you say, ya dig? absolutely NO racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic or xenophobic language at all. none. zero. zilch. respect people’s religious backgrounds. I have a zero tolerance policy for that kind of language. **if you choose to participate I assume absolutely no liability or responsibility for the words of any of the people in the chat.**
