In the kitchen and Dorisi please for the kissing prompts

lesbiancarisi:

When Mike comes home from another long day of work at SVU, his husband is already in the kitchen making dinner for the two of them. Lately, they’ve been happier than ever, and Mike can’t get enough of it.

After surviving the Munson incident, Mike decided to stay at SVU and help the people who really need him. The squad is a family as well, the first real one he’s experienced. With one small act of independence, he was suddenly able to stand up to his father. He moved in with Sonny, changed his number, and allowed himself to start over.

Not long after that, Sonny was nearly killed by an ex-cop, and although he managed to go a couple more months, he was clearly too crippled emotionally to keep working for the NYPD. Mike helped him put in for early retirement, and supported him until he landed a new job at the cute little bookshop by their home.

They’re happy. And in the meanwhile, their love has blossomed in a whirlwind romance, getting married and looking into adoption in the three years it’s been since Sonny left the NYPD. Their guest bedroom would make a good nursery, the schools nearby are fantastic, and they would both love and adore their child more than anything else.

A smile warms Mike’s face as he walks into the kitchen and wraps his arms around Sonny from behind, peppering kisses on his neck and shoulder while Sonny tends to their good smelling meal on the stove.

“Hi,” Sonny says with a smile, turning his head slightly to steal a kiss. “How was work?”

With just four words, he’s made Mike melt into the knowledge that he’s loved and, for the first time in his life, he truly has a home.

I can’t with how precious and pure this is! ❤❤

um, don’t hate me at the end of this chapter okaaay?

A gentle knock on the doorway roused him from where he was flirting with a nap. The anesthesia had worn off, but his body was still tired from the surgery. It would be another few days before he was up and moving around and some time after that before he was able to leave the hospital. He blinked his eyes open, first taking in his fiancée’s grim face before she turned to look towards the doorway. He blinked again, slowly as his brain moved more sluggishly than he was used to.

Confessing feelings under snow + Sonny bc he’d be cliche like that

“It’s so pretty,” you marveled. The white lights from the Christmas trees reflected off the blanket of freshly fallen snow. Manhattan had already got 5 inches and more was in the forecast for overnight.

“I love new snow,” Sonny said as he maneuvered you through the pleathera of evergreens. “See one you like?”

A gust of cold air blew through the trees. You snuggled in closer to Sonny’s side. He grinned as his grip on your shoulder tightened. “We can head back if you want,” he offered.

“I don’t want to go home empty handed. I’ve never had a live Christmas tree,” you told Sonny.

“Never had a live tree? Blasphemy!” Sonny pointed over to a group of smaller trees that would fit better in your apartment. “Stick with me doll. We’ll get the perfect tree.”

Twenty minutes later you tree was being loaded. You were so excited you were actually giddy. The thought of being at home with Sonny and decorating a tree, drinking hot cocoa made you feel warm all over.

Sonny came behind you putting an arm around you neck and kissing your head. “I love you.” He turned you to face him. “And one day I’m gonna marry you and we’re gonna have kids that get just as excited as you when we put up a tree.”

Your eyes grew wide. That was a lot to confess but you knew he meant every word of it. And like in some movie the sky opened up and snow fell around you. A few flakes fell onto Sonny’s mustache. “I love you too.” Sonny leaned down a pressed his soft, cold lips to yours. The kiss deepened quickly and both of you had to remember you were in public. When he broke away, you looked up at him. “That sounds like the perfect Christmas. ”

No place like home

“Hey, doll.” Sonny’s voice was solemn.

“What’s wrong, babe? Are you okay?” You finished making the boys lunch, taking a seat at the table.

“Noah was kidnapped. From the mall. He was with Sheila.”

“Oh my God!” Your hand covered your mouth. “Poor Liv. I can’t…” Your eyes teared up as you looked at Ethan and Nicholas, then at your belly.

“I know.” You knew he was thinking the same thing you were. “Put me on speaker.”

You hit the button. “Say hi to Daddy boys.”

“Hi Daddy,” both boys replied back in unison.

“Hey guys. I love you.”

“Love you too Daddy.”

Taking Sonny off speaker you put the phone back to your ear. “Please give Liv my love. If there’s anything I can do…”

“I’ll let her know. I gotta go. We’re back at the station. I’ll keep you updated. I love you.”

“Love you too, Sonny.”

The rest of the day wasn’t very productive. You tried doing something in the baby’s room, read a book, nap when the boys did but you were too restless. After picking up Ryan and Thomas up from school, you took the boys out for ice cream. Picking up your phone you texted Liv just so she knew you were thinking of her. She didn’t respond back, not that you expected her too.

Sonny kept you in the loop as much as possible. It seemed like every lead they got turned cold. Hearing your phone ring in the other room you sprinted to answer it. “Daddy! You coming home? I colored aunt Liv a picture. Mama said she’s sad. We had ice cream for dinner,” Ethan chattered into the phone not waiting for a response.

“Can I talk to, Daddy please?” you asked Ethan. He passed the phone to you. “Hey. Any news,” you inquired. You spoke softly so the kids didn’t hear you.

“Sheila took Noah.”

“What? Why? Where?”

“I don’t know either than she’s crazy. To some cabin about two hours North. Not sure when I’ll be home.” Sonny replied.

“It’s fine. Just get Noah home safely. You too.”

It was quiet for a couple minutes, both of you thinking. “So, ice cream for dinner, huh?” Sonny said with an amused tone.

Later that evening Sonny called you to let you know Noah was safe and they would be heading back. He sounded exhausted but relieved. After baths the kids wanted popcorn and a movie in your room. While you made the popcorn, they picked out a movie, Wizard of Oz. The five of you piled in your king size bed. One by one the boys fell asleep. Everyone was out by the time Dorothy made it to the wizard, including you.

Sonny heard the faint sound of the TV coming from your bedroom. Quietly, he opened the door to find you and the boys snuggled up together. You were in the middle, your pregnant belly peeking out from under your T-shirt. Nicholas was curled up to your side, Ethan laying across your legs. Ryan and Thomas flanked each side. Sonny thought his heart would burst right there. He took a quick picture then shed his suit. Sliding on a pair of pajama pants, he squeezed into bed, putting his arm over Thomas and resting his hand on your belly.

Your eyes fluttered open. “Hey, babe,” you greeted him with a raspy voice.

“Didn’t mean to wake ya up,” he whispered.

“No worries. Want to take the boys to their beds?”

Sonny shook his head. “Want ‘em right here.”

The last thing Sonny heard before falling asleep was Dorothy saying, “There’s no place like home.”
