Could I ask for a fic where Sonny and the reader are best friends and the reader is head over heels for Peter but Peter thinks the reader likes Sonny

“Sonny. Hey,” you waved and called to your friend. It had been a couple months since you saw your oldest friend. Sonny had been the only person to befriend you when your family moved to Staten Island from Ohio the summer before freshman year of high school.

“Hey, doll. “ Sonny enveloped you in a hug. “Sorry, I’m late.”

“No worries. Just glad to see you.”  You returned his hug.

Sonny released you then turned. “Y/N, this Peter Stone. Peter, this is Y/F/N Y/L/N. My best friend since high school.”

“Nice to meet you Y/N. Hope I’m not intruding.” Peter offered a hand which you accepted.

“Yes-no. I mean,” you took a deep breath. “You’re not intruding. NIce to meet you too.”

Sonny smirked when he saw you blush. “C’mon. Let’s see if our table is ready.” Sonny put an arm around your shoulders when you punched him playfully on the arm.

The next morning you were standing in line waiting for coffee when you heard someone say your name. “Y/N?”

When you turned Peter was standing behind you. “Peter. Hi. Long time no see,” you smiled up at him. God, he was gorgeous and you were a mess. Yoga pants, hoodie, hair in a messy bun and no makeup.

He chuckled. “Thanks again for letting me tag along with you and Sonny for dinner last night. It’s hard meeting new people.”

“I agree. I remember what it’s like being the new kid. So does Sonny. He’s good people.”

“Order for Y/N,” the barista called.

“Drinking heavy this morning,” Peter teased and nodded at the two coffees.

“Something like that. I better go,” you answered. “I’ll see ya.”

“Hey, Sonny. I’m back,” you called through your apartment.

“About time. Faucet is fixed. What took so long?” Sonny entered the living room from the kitchen.

“Thanks. Here are your coffee and muffin as promised. I ran into Peter at the coffee shop.” You could feel the blush creep across your cheeks. “So what do you know about him? Does he live around here.”

“I know that look. It’s the same one you had when you liked Vinnie Marco junior year. You like him,” Sonny said with a grin. He accepted the coffee.

“‘You hungry? I’m starving.” You walked past Sonny.

“Oh no. Don’t change the subject,” Sonny followed you to the kitchen.

“Okay fine. I like him.” When you turned Sonny was sipping his coffee with a satisfied look on his face. “I hate it when you’re right you know that.”

“You should be used to it by now,” Sonny quipped.

You rolled your eyes. “Yeah. Yeah. Now. You gonna me get those digits?”

Peter was sitting at the bar when you entered the restaurant. He rose from his stool and greeted you with a hug. “You look lovely. Table won’t be ready for a bit. Want to get a drink?”

“Thanks. So do you, I mean, you look nice. A drink sounds good.” Peter offered you his arm and you slipped your arm through his.

After you got drinks you and Peter settled into an easy conversation. “To be honest, I was surprised when Sonny gave me your number.”

You raised a brow and took a sip of your bourbon. “Really. Why is that?”

“Well, you and Sonny seem…close. I thought you liked-”

“Me and Sonny?” You laughed. “I’m sorry. It’s just…Sonny is like a brother to me.”

“That’s what I was hoping you would say,” Peter grinned.

Are any of the kids in your verses friends? I mean, granted their dads all work together but do they ever have play dates and stuff together?

//Okay this is such a sweet ask! This has crossed my mind before, but I never put pen to paper.//

Ryan and Owen are very close. They both love sci-fi, video games and play baseball. They frequently have campouts, Star Wars movie marathons, and go to the batting cages. The only thing they don’t agree on is the best team in New York, Mets or Yankees. Sometimes they let Thomas join them.

All the other kids are close to the same age, between 2-5. It gets very loud and very crazy very quick when the whole group is together.

Playdates typically happen on the weekends due to everyone’s schedule. Since Sonny’s wife works part-time and Mike’s wife is a stay at home mom, they tend to get together more often.

Once a month the whole squad, their kids, significant others, and grandkids have dinner together. Usually, meet at either Mike or Peter’s home, they have bigger places.

Elise was so excited when Jesse and Cora were born. She had been the only girl for a few years. Now with Audra and one of the twins being a girl, she is on cloud 9.

All In all, they get along well together.
