omg so one of the ADAs has his baby daughter in the office today and he’s such a mush with her and none of us can take him seriously now since he’s usually a hardass lol. so can i please request the reader bringing hers and peter’s daughter to the office and him being an absolute softie with her and the squad low key teasing him?

After dropping Julian off at school, you decided to stop to visit Peter. You weren’t sure if he was even in but thought you’d take a chance. Walking to Peter’s office you saw that his office door was closed. Not seeing Carmen at her desk, you knocked.

“Come in.” Peter’s voice was gruff and sharp. “Well that’s your job isn’t it, Detective Carisi? Figure it out because right now we have no case.”

You had already started  in the office when you heard Peter addressing the detective, “Oh, sorry. I didn’t realize -I’ll come back.” You started backing out of the office.

“Don’t you dare. We were just finishing anyway.” His voice softened and  a smile broke across Peter’s face. When he reached you he kissed your cheek, “I’m glad to see you, both of you .”

You picked Audra up out of her stroller and cradled her in your arms. She woke for a few seconds but went right back to sleep. Peter gently took her from your arms.

“Hello my darling girl. Daddy has missed you”, Peter cooed to Audra. He soothed her downy hair and kissed the crown of her head. Audra snuggled into his chest. Peter walked over to his desk and sat in his chair. Peter softly sang to Audra.

You stood around talking to everyone. Showing pictures of Julian and some family shots that were recently done. Olivia and Amanda shared pics of their kids and even Fin showed off his grandson.

Peter was holding Audra in his hands talking baby talk and making funny faces at the half asleep infant. Peter was relaxed and happy.

“I thought he only had one side, bad ass”, Fin joked.

“Yeah don’t let the defense see him soft”, Sonny responded.

“I’m not sure I can take him seriously anymore after seeing him make that face”, Amanda chimed in.

You laughed at the jabs. “This is really the only Peter I know.”

Peter looked up, grinned and shrugged his shoulders. “What can I say a pretty girl can make all the difference.“He winked at you.

fluffy mike prompt – it’s his daughter’s first day of school and he’s a wreck and his wife thinks it’s adorable

//Be still my heart, Mike with his kids is just the cutest.//

Dim light filtered into your bedroom and raindrops beat against the window pane. Turning over you felt Mike’s side of the bed empty, which was nothing unusual. Slowly opening your eyes you stretched lazily.

After adjusting your eyes you saw the time, 7AM. Mike walked out of the bathroom, freshly showered, with just a towel slung around his hips. His face etched with worry. He had been fretting for two weeks over your daughters first day of preschool.

“Good morning, love”, he gave you a tight smile and kissed your head. Turning, he moved to the closet to change. He came out in cargo shorts and a T-shirt.

“Good morning. Are you ready for today?” You glanced at him trying to see his reaction. You already knew the answer. He stayed home to take Cora to school then pick her up.

He shrugged his shoulders and put his hands on his hips. “Does she really need to go to preschool? She could just go to Val’s’ still right? I mean she can teach her. She already knows her ABC’s, can count to like 1,000, she can even say some Spanish words.”

You smirked at him and shook your head. “Michael. She needs interaction from kids her age, other than her brother, plus she does not know how to count to 1,000.” You raised an eyebrow at him.

Crossing his arms he looked down at you, “This isn’t a joke, Y/N. What if she gets hurt? Or scared? Or she can’t make friends?”

Getting up from bed, you stood in front of him. “You sure are cute when you’re freaking out.” You reached up to ruffle his hair, but he ducked out of your way, making you laugh.

Cora came bounding into your room and jumped on the bed.  “I’m going to school today! I’m going to school today!”

“Wouldn’t you rather stay home with Daddy today?” He pouted his lip which made Cora giggle.

“Daddy’s silly.” She pouted her lip to match Mike’s.

“Not sure silly is the word I’d use.” You winked at Mike.

After taking Isaac to school, you headed for Cora’s preschool. She chattered the whole way there.

Mike helped Cora out of her carseat and put her backpack over her shoulders. It was almost as big as her.

When you got to her classroom, the teacher greeted the three of you. She knelt down and asked Cora to find her name on her desk.

Mike reluctantly let go of her hand, “Love you Cora. Have fun.”

“Bye bye Mommy and Daddy!” And she was off exploring.

He took a deep breath, and squeezed your hand. “You were right. She’ll be fine.“
