“Those look so good, babe,” you kissed Nick in greeting. Work had been a nightmare but knowing you, Nick, the kids, and the dog were leaving for a week vacation helped you get through your shift. Tomorrow you’d be in a hammock at the lake.

“Elise wanted to make cookies for the trip,” Nick informed you. He sprinkled the cookies with sea salt and some with chopped walnuts.

“Where is she now?”, you inquired.

“She got bored after the first batch was done. She’s watching cartoons in our bed,” Nick answered and chuckled.

Nick in the kitchen was…hot. You watched as he moved around the room. He was a sight. His hips swayed slightly as danced to the music playing from his phone.

“Hey Earth to Y/N,” Nick spoke your name and snapped his fingers. “I said do you want a bite?”

“Hmmm..yeah, yes. Please. Sorry I kinda spaced. It’s just seeing you in the kitchen…” You cleared your throat then took a bite of cookie. “I’m gonna go finish packing,” you said around a mouthful of cookie.

Nick gave you knowing smile. “You do that. Oh, Y/N. Looks like I’m going to have some leftover melted chocolate. Let me know if you can think of a use for it.” He dipped his finger in the chocolate then licked it off. “Hate to see it go to waste.”

“What are you making?” Mike asked and slipped an arm around your neck, running his fingers insde the top of your dress.

“Blueberry muffins. I promised Isaac I’d make them for breakfast tomorrow”, you responded with a wry grin.

He pressed his body into you and nuzzled your hair. “Your hair always smells so good.” He kissed your neck. “And this dress”, kissed up your jaw, “fits you just right.”

“Mike…” You sat the bowl down and reached your hands around to Mike’s thighs. He slid his hands down your sides. When he reached your hips, he untied your dress and pushed it down so it was hanging off your shoulders.

“Your body is amazing babydoll.” Mike turned you in his arms, backing you against the counter. He resumed kissing you as you ran your hands under his T-shirt.

“Daddy?” Isaac’s voice behind Mike made you jump.

Mike froze, then smiled against your lips. “Yeah bud?” He helped you fix your dress before turning around.

“I need a story. I can’t sleep.” Isaac held up his favorite book, ‘Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.’  It was your favorite growing up too.

“You got it. I’ll be up in a minute.” Isaac satisfied with the answer, headed back to his room.

Mike turned back around making eye contact with you. The two of you started laughing. “That was close. Another few minutes…” Mike wiped his brow.
