“What makes you think that?” Sonny asked with a furrow between his brow. The way he saw it, ATF was just looking to make their presence known. They’d come sooner or later and he’d rather sooner so that he could figure out their angle.
“The timing. We meet up to discuss shutting down the ‘happy endings’ and they happen to come by? They were trying to catch us in something,” Nick stated. “More importantly, they knew that they could catch us in something. We’ve been careful about who we let come here and not even all of the customers know that there’s two sides of this operation. Has to be an inside job. That fed looked disappointed…too disappointed. We’ve got a rat, for sure.”
Sonny leaned against the bar and scrubbed his hands over his face roughly. The last thing they needed was even more trouble on top of things. A rat in one of the clubs could only end one of two ways: with that person dead or almost everyone in jail. He sighed and pushed himself back up, straightening as he thumbed at his phone. He frowned a little at the lack of messages when he saw the time, but looked back over at Nick.
Oh no! Poor Sonny and reader. Things were finally going their way…

hi frieeeeends! so I mentioned wanting to have a SVU season 20 sleepover awhile ago, and I wanted to bring that idea back around. the show premieres on the 27th, but we all live in different time zones. I was thinking we could all rewatch together on Saturday, the 29th. this gives us some flexibility with time zones and can allow for folks to plan ahead!
if you’re interested, can you message me what time zone you’re in before the 22nd so that I can try to find a time that would work for most of us?
in the meantime I’ll look into Rabbit (which I’ve only heard about) and try to brainstorm some fun games like SVU bingo or something while we watch. 🙂

i have no doubt emily felt like she was falling apart while he just……….trudged on. his strong and silent type behavior was nothing but a facade, but it’s obvious they both felt alone and felt they couldn’t lean on each other but they CAN and it’s beautiful
Emily is a lawyer herself so she doesn’t need to marry for money in order to live comfortably. Sure, they haven’t revealed much about her character but nothing about what they’ve shown so far hints at Emily wanting to marry rich. In fact, she was willing to stay with EZ while he was imprisoned.
Also, can I just say, one cannot simply marry Miguel for money. Questionable morality aside, the man is a catch. He is handsome, intellectual, and powerful. It’s not like this is some old, balding, red-faced geezer with a fat bank account seeking a hot trophy wife. Emily isn’t a gold digger stuck in a loveless marriage, waiting for her husband to die and leave her his fortune. He hot. She hot. They fucked and had a baby. Why is that *still* so hard to believe?
It’s also *so obvious* that they care about each other. Doesn’t mean they aren’t doomed (still). It just means it’ll hurt all the more because they’ve shared something real and meaningful before it all goes to shit.
Black and white characters are boring. Seriously. What’s the point of writing a love triangle if you’re going to make it so apparent that one of the characters only exists to be an obstacle to the ~endgame?
that person must be watching a different show because it is very clear that Emily & Miguel share a lot of love & mutual respect
