I still cannot figure out for the life of me what the point was of carrying that storyline over from season 18 if all they were going to do with it was cut the entire thing from the episode.
Because as you said, anon, if the purpose was to establish that Sonny is straight, they did a piss poor job of it by cutting literally every interaction that he had with his girlfriend.
Also, I’d just like to point out that the majority of the general audience that watches SVU doesn’t ever see the released deleted scenes, which means some of them may still think that Sonny has a mystery girlfriend since the last mention of her in season 18 didn’t allude to a break up.
So by that logic, since Sonny still has a girlfriend in some of their minds, does that mean he…….tried to cheat on her with Amanda in “Intent”?
