FICTOBER18 DAY 10 PROMPT | “You think this troubles me?”

fandom: Law and Order: SVU alternate universe
pairing: Razor/Veronica (original characters)
warnings: profanity, mentions of assault//couple of weeks after this

Razor watched Veronica laughing with a couple of the other massage therapists and he brought his glass up to his mouth for the last swallow of his drink. Ever since Veronica had been assaulted he’d been extra cautious, spending more and more time at the parlor and insisting on escorting her home, even on the nights he didn’t stay over at her place. It was partially paranoia and partially the volatile cocktail of love and the knowledge that he couldn’t keep her safe. Not really. By her being involved with him she was more likely to get hurt and try as he might, he still couldn’t bring himself to break things off. It was selfish, he knew this first hand after seeing her so vulnerable and hurt, and he mentally castigated himself for the day when it would be his fault and not a random asshole customer.

She laughed again and lazily slapped at the arm of a prospect who had walked by. He had said something in passing that made her laugh and Razor watched as she turned to talk to him. Her mouth was set in amusement as Snake spoke and when she spoke again she made a gesture towards Razor with a smirk. Snake turned to follow her gaze and Razor narrowed his eyes at the prospect. Without hesitation the prospect suddenly took off, exiting the conversation, and Veronica smiled a little to herself and shook her head.

I’m not gonna lie, I get deeply offended when someone says they think one of my celeb crushes are “unattractive”.

“Like I don’t care what you think because you obviously have terrible taste because this person is a friggin’ SNACC!! They were personally sculpted by God himself so… forget you and your stupid way of determining attractiveness. Now, don’t ask me to take you out to dinner because I’m not doing it!”

Maybe, I was being a little over dramatic but I did tell my 17 year old sister I wasn’t taking her out to dinner because she said one of my celeb crushes was unattractive.

FICTOBER18 DAY 8 PROMPT | “I know you do.”

pairing: Sonny Carisi/ Carmen
warnings: none

A phone ringtone jolted Carmen awake. She groaned and then fell back against the bed limply after having tensed up at the sudden noise. It wasn’t her phone. She felt Sonny pull his arm from around her waist and shift to grab his phone on the other side of the bed from where they had migrated in their sleep. He answered in a quiet groggy voice, no doubt trying to be considerate and not wake her up even more. A few moments later he ended the call, phone placed back on her bedside table before he turned to wrap his arm around her once more.

“I have to go,” he whispered against her neck. She reached for his hand to lay hers over top and threaded their fingers together for a moment.

“I know you do,” she replied in a sleep rough voice finally. Carmen turned in the bed and she could just barely make out a regretful expression on Sonny’s face. He leaned down to kiss her forehead before rolling over and pushing himself to a seat on the edge of the bed.

“My place tonight?” he asked quietly. She hummed in agreement and he turned to tuck the covers around her. The last thing she remembered before falling asleep again was another gentle brush of lips against her forehead.
