Again…

Two months after… THIS

“I have to admit. Matt is different.” Mike watched as Matt played with Isaac and Cora. Beckett was asleep in the bouncy seat beside him.

It was a hard sell at first, but Mike agreed to let Matt stay until he could get on his feet. Matt had proven himself. He was off drugs, went to NA, got a job in a coffee shop, and spent whatever free time he had with Beckett.

“He’s doing really well,” you mused then sipped your coffee. “Plus. It’s fun being an aunt. I love watching Beckett while Matt is at work. Cora is pretty smitten too.”

“You’re an amazing woman, Y/N. Such a big heart, always forgiving, and giving people second chances."

“You are one lucky man, Michael Dodds,” you bumped your hip into his with a smirk.

“Don’t you think I know that?” He responded with a chuckle and slid an arm around your waist.

A tug of your sleeve and Isaac’s gentle voice woke you from a deep sleep. “Mama. Beckett is crying.”

“Hmmm…? Uncle Matt will get him, baby.”

Isaac climbed into bed. “Mama. He been crying a long time.”

“Everything okay?” Mike turned mumbled as he turned over. Isaac snuggled into Mike’s arms. He kidded Isaac’s head.

“Yeah. Go back to sleep babe.”

As you trudged down the hall, Beckett’s cries became more hysteric. “How the hell is he sleeping through that.” You knocked on the door and entered when Matt didn’t answer. “Hey. Shhh. Come here, buddy. Shhh.” He started settling soon after being picked up. “Where Daddy? Hmmm?” That’s when the note caught your eye. “Son of a-”

“Michael. Wake up. We have a problem.” Beckett was finally content after you made him a bottle.

“What’s wrong? Is it the kids?” Mike sat up fully awake.

“See for yourself.” You shoved the letter in his face. Mike reached for his glasses on his bedside stand. His brow furrowed as he read it. “Damn it. I knew it. I told you.” Mike raised his voice.

Domestic prompts 75 for Carisi please

//via an ask that Tumblr messed up-”you’re the best”//

Sonny jumped when he entered the kitchen. “Surprise Daddy!” You and the kids shouted in unison, well mostly. Caroline added a squeal.

“What’s all this, huh?” Sonny’s face broke out in a big smile as Ethan and Nicholas wrapped their arms around his middle.

“It’s cause you’re the best Daddy,” Ethan gave Sonny a toothless smile.

“We made tacos, Dad,” Ryan stated with a grin.

“And chocolate chip cookies.” Added Thomas.

“We just wanted to do something nice for you, babe.” You placed a kiss to his cheek. “C’mon. Sit.”

Later that evening after the kids were in bed, you found Sonny on the front porch. As you watched him for a minute, you knew something was bothering him. Actually, from the moment, he came home this evening you knew something was off. He was sitting on the front step, a curl of smoke rose up from his lit cigarette.

“Well, that can’t be good.” The screen door creaked as you pushed it open. He looked over at you when you bumped his shoulder and sat next to him on the top step. “Those things will kill ya, you know.”

Sonny smirked. “How long you been-”

“Long enough. Want to talk about it?” Caroline’s easy breathing could be heard on the baby monitor that you placed beside you.

Sonny sighed. “I messed up today. Suspect might walk now.” His hand squeezed your knee. You nodded waiting for him to continue. “We got phone records. GPS location was also sent, I didn’t request it. Have to have a warrant for those records now. Stone is challenging it  as an incidental finding.”

His mood and smoking made sense now. He blamed himself. Like he always did when something went wrong on a case. “So. No one else caught it either. It’s not all on you. It could’ve happened to-”

“I’m the one that should know more than anyone about the new laws.” He hung his head.

“Okay. So don’t take this the wrong way but you’re a detective, not a lawyer. You were in cop mode and there is nothing wrong with that. You are one hell of a detective. And I know, when the time comes, you are going to be one hell of a  lawyer as well.”

Sonny regarded you thoughtfully. “Yeah. Lieu said the same thing essentially.” He rubbed the back if his neck. “I just…I dunno. Fin said any of em woulda done the same. Stone was pissed though.” Sonny chuckled.

“Eh. He’ll get over it.” You pressed a kiss to Sonny’s cheek. “I’ll let you have some time alone.”

Sonny grabbed your hand. “Sit with me. Just a while longer.”

SVU SLEEPOVER MARATHON

carisi-dreams:

🎃U P D A T E   U P D A T E  U P D A T E  U P D A T E  U P D A T E  🎃

****** PLEASE  NOTE THE TIME CHANGE********

**PLEASE READ ALL OF THE BELOW BEFORE MESSAGING ME QUESTIONS**

a time has been chosen:🎃 10 am PT 🎃 [time zone converter]
the day has been chosen: Saturday, the 27th for a Halloween themed episode marathon 🙂

the number of episodes we watch will be determined by everyone in the chat on the day of, but I have at least 5 planned that we can choose from!

we’re using Rabbit to host the sleepover/hang out. you do not need Hulu or anything, but you do need to sign up for Rabbit and set it up prior to the time we’re all going to watch together.

other FAQs:

what is Rabbit? it’s a video sharing & chatroom site that allows us to watch movies/tv together and talk about it all on the same platform

how can I download Rabbit and set-up a profile? use this link [https://www.rabb.it/]

do I have to talk in the chat? nope! no pressure at all

do I have to show my face? no! it’s not a videochat, Rabbit is a screen sharing platform with a chat feature: so I share my screen playing the video and we can all chat together. I’ll be sharing video for us to watch SVU together.

how will this work? I (@carisi-dreams) will share the link to the chatroom with everyone who has RSVP’d and then you will use the link to login and watch together. I’ll wait 5 minutes to make sure everyone is in there before I hit play, so please be on time! [time zone converter]  I will not enter the room until 30 minutes prior to the watch time, so if you enter in early…nothing will be happening because it won’t be up for me yet.

what if I can’t get in? wait a few minutes, and then if you’re still not in, try to request entry again. there seems to be a delay between when you send the request and when I get it, so please do not panic and immediately message me on tumblr. it creates a lot of confusion if a bunch of people do that, especially since that means if I’m on tumblr responding to messages (literally all I can tell you is to keep trying) then I’m not on Rabbit accepting invitations…give it a few moments!

how many people can the chat hold? 25 in order to keep the audio/visual feature (video streaming) working. so make sure you RSVP ASAP so that you get the link and so that you can make it in the chat room with us! [we have space for 10 more]

are there any rules? yeah, normal ones like don’t be a jerk. this is a fictional show…it’s great to be passionate, but watch what you say, ya dig? absolutely NO racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic or xenophobic language at all. none. zero. zilch. respect people’s religious backgrounds. I have a zero tolerance policy for that kind of language. **if you choose to participate I assume absolutely no liability or responsibility for the words of any of the people in the chat.**

is this official/sponsored/etc? no! I am in no way affiliated with the streaming platform or the show. just a fan like you!

RSVP list:

please note the time change because this will be a marathon! I moved up the start time by an hour. if you have not RSVP’d and you like to attend, please send me a message!

Looking for some fluff requests for my AU’s.

Could I get something of Dodds Sr and Anne watching the kids?

“So. What do you want to do first?” William clasped his hands together. Anne and William enthusiastically agreed to watch the kids for the evening so you and Mike could have a date night.

“Legos!” Isaac exclaimed. “We build a car, Pappy!” He ran to his room to get collect said Legos. When he came back he dumped them all over the carpet.

“Wow, Isaac,” William chuckled, “that is some collection. So you want to build a car? You know your Dad loved to make things with Lego when he was your age.

“Me and Daddy build stuffs. Mama does too.” Isaac pressed together a long, slender building block with a wheel.

“Me pways.” Cora plopped down beside William grabbing at the block.

“Cora! No! You are too little. These are my blocks. Go play with the baby blocks.” Isaac snatched the Lego from Cora causing her to have an instant meltdown.

Anne rushed into the family room from the kitchen where she was preparing dinner. “What in heavens name is going on? Is she hurt?” Anne took Cora from William and snuggled her to her chest. “Shh. It’s okay sugar.”

“Isaac Michael Dodds, was that nice?” William chided him. “Pick up all these blocks. Then apologize to your sister.”

Isaac started his own waterworks. It was rare he got in trouble with either Anne or William. “But-but these are big boy blocks. Not for baby’s.” Isaac sniffed.

William sighed, then knelt down to Isaac’s level. “C’mere buddy. We don’t take things out of peoples hands, right?” Isaac nodded. “Okay. Let’s go apologize to Cora.”

Cora was sitting on the counter with Anne standing next to her. “I’m sorry, Cora.” She grinned at Isaac and gave him a slice of cheese. “I think all is forgiven. Now wash up for dinner.”

Isaac was scrapping the bottom of his after finishing his ice cream. “Memaw. Are you Daddy’s Mama?”

“Well uh no. I’m his step-mama.” She replied exchanging a look with William. “Why do you ask darlin’?”

Isaac sighed. “I asked Daddy and Mama. They said in every way that matters.”

Anne looked at William, who gave her a wink. Anne cleared her throat. “How bout another scoop of ice cream?”

After dinner the kids got a bubble bath then jammies. They picked out a movie and settled on the couch. “Annie is Mama’s favorite movie. She knows all the songs and sings. She’s not very good. Daddy can sing real good. Mama said that’s why she falled in love with him.”

William looked over the kids heads and smiled at Anne. She returned the smile, then blew him a kiss.

When you and Mike arrived home, you found the four of them asleep on the sectional sofa. Cora was lying on William’s chest and Isaac was curled into Anne’s side.

“Oh they are just the cutest,” you remarked quietly. Pulling your phone from your purse, you snapped a quick picture. “Should we put the kids on their beds?”

“Really think that’s a good idea?” Mike whimpered. “I mean I can think of better things to do than trying to get two toddlers back to sleep.” He grinned at you suggestively.

“Well what are you waiting for?” You giggled and gently tugged on his hand leading him toward the bedroom.
