warnings: recreational marijuana use

You took another hit of the blunt and pulled the smoke in carefully, holding for a beat before exhaling. The stars above you were shining brightly; it was a clear night. You rocked on the patio chair and leaned back as you felt some of the anxiety and stress from the day begin to melt away. The roar of Sonny’s motorcycle had cut through the quiet of the neighborhood several minutes ago and now you were waiting for him to find you on the back patio. You took another hit off the blunt and adjusted your fingers. The smoke from the cherry swirled up into the air and you turned your head as you heard the patio door open.

Sonny stepped out on the patio. His face was partially illuminated by the fairy lights that were stills strung up and you smiled lazily in his direction. He took slow steps towards you, eyeing the blunt obviously and then giving you a pointed once over.

“Don’t look at me like that,” you warned him with a bitten back smile. “It’s been a long ass day. Don’t think I don’t know about your cigarette stash hidden in the empty Oreo’s sleeve in the cabinet.”

Sonny put his hands up in surrender and set his face in an innocent expression. “I didn’t say anything.”

“You’re giving me that look,” you accused. He sat down in the chair next to you and gently brought your hand up to his mouth so that he could take a hit. He sucked in the smoke and held it as he gave you a side eye. You brought an accusatory finger up and pointed at him. “That look!”

He laughed around his exhale, smoke swirling away from him in a fragrant cloud, and pulled your feet into his lap. “Baby, I hate to see you this way,” he replied in concern.

“Yeah? I seem to notice you happen to be absent every time I have to talk to the caterer or vendor,” you replied dryly. He dug his thumb into the arch of your foot and then smiled in satisfaction in response to your throaty moan. Your head was feeling lighter and you sunk back deeper into your chair.

“You’re just so much better at speaking to people for these kinds of things than I am,” Sonny protested with a smirk. “If I have to get involved, heads are going to roll.”

You rolled your eyes and took brought the blunt up to your lips. “You’re so dramatic,” you mumbled around it. “It’s just a little negotiating. I’ll be damned if they’re going to price gouge us just because we’re having a wedding reception and not a birthday party or some shit. As if that really makes a difference per person.” You scoffed and took another deep hit of the blunt.

Sonny leaned forward with a finger to your chin and coaxed your mouth towards his. “As long as you’re there and there’s at least something to eat, I’m happy. Everything else is icing on the cake.” You sealed your lips to his and exhaled the smoke as he inhaled, then deepened it into a lazy kiss. His tongue lapped at your lips and you tilted your head for a better angle.

“Speaking of cake…” you murmured into his mouth. He laughed and shook his head before pulling back with a gesture for you to go on.

Awww…a little fluff in the mc!au!

@paradise-svu requested: “Can I hold him/her?” + nearlycanon!Nick please? 😊 -❄️🌹

“Just you and me, kiddo,” you said lowly to Elijah.

It was three in the morning and you had just finished nursing him. Nick had gotten home late from work the previous day so you’d jumped up as soon as you heard the crackle over the baby monitor. Motherhood was making you a much lighter sleeper and other than Elijah needing to be fed every several hours, he was otherwise a very calm and happy baby.

You ran your index finger from his forehead down to his nose slowly and stared down into his face. He licked his lips sleepily in a telltale sign that he was nearly asleep again, although he kept trying to blink his eyes open in a valiant effort to stay awake.

“Give into it, kid. Sleep is fun. Sleep is good. Sleep means mommy doesn’t forget to put dishwashing soap in the dishwasher before she runs it…And that my outfits coordinate,” you continued to speak to Elijah in a low, soothing tone. With every pass of your finger you felt him sink more and more into sleep. “Sleep means that mommy moisturizes her skin and has the energy to also have some down time with your papa. You wouldn’t know it from looking at me, but I was once a very well put together lady.” Elijah smacked his lips together again and you smiled down at him and sunk down further into the couch.

The apartment was nearly still, with only the thrum of the window air conditioner working in the background. Once upon a time you liked three in the morning and you recalled road trips with Nick where he had woken you up during times like this before the sun was even up. You’d always resist waking up, but there was something precious, like a shared secret, that came with having the time together where everyone else was asleep. These were the holy hours.

You heard the gentle slap of footsteps on the wood floor from behind you, but made no move to turn. There was security in knowing that the only other person who would be awake at this hour was the person you trusted implicitly with everything important in your shared apartment. He was safety and security and love wrapped in gentle touches and confident hands.

“Can I hold him?” Nick rasped from behind you. He cleared his throat and you finally turned to take him in.

He was clothed in only a skintight pair of black boxer briefs and even extreme sleep deprivation didn’t keep you from enjoying the view as he scratched at his stomach absently. You saw the moment he caught your appreciative staring—his gaze going from slightly bleary to liquid hot before cooling again–always reactive to your affections. Nick quirked up a side of his mouth in a small smirk before stepping over your legs where they were propped up on the coffee table and sitting down carefully next to you on the couch. He reached for Elijah and you handed him over slowly. You watched as he immediately gravitated towards Nick’s warm, bare skin and snuggled in before letting his eyes finally close.

“You have the magic touch, daddy,” you complimented in a whisper with a tired smile.

Nick leaned over, being careful not to crush Elijah, and pressed a kiss to your mouth. “I’ve got the touch, but you are the magic.”

My heart is full.

Can you do a one shot of Angel taking you out on a date but you get stuck in a rainstorm on the way home so you pull over and take shelter until it passes?

As you sat across from Angel you can’t help but smile, a full blown, split your face in half smile.

“What’s got you so happy?” he asks you a soft smile on his face

“I was just thinking about this really cute and funny guy that asked me about on a date” you say

“You think I’m cute?” he says smiling wider

“Who said I was talking about you?” you say giggling

“Ouch” Angel says pretending to clutch his chest in pain

You both start laughing, the waiter interrupts you “I’m so sorry but we are closed now” he says putting the bill on the table

You scan your eyes around the restaurant, realising you two are the only two people left “I’m so sorry, I didn’t even realise” you apologise reaching for the bill. Angel quickly snatches out of your hand

“What do you think you’re doing? I’m paying” he pulls out a stack of bills putting them into the bill and handing them it to the waiter.

“You ready to go?” Angel asks you, offering you his arm as he stands up.

“Thank you” you say taking him arm, you thank the waiter again as you walk out and the door is locked behind you

“Where are you parked?” Angel asks you

“The SVU over there” you say pointing to your car

Angel walks you to your car, you lean up against the door facing Angel

“I had a really wonderful night tonight” you say softly

“Me too, we should do this again” he replies closing the space between you

“Yeah, we should” you say looking up at him, just as he was leaning in for a kiss your phone rings, you groan reaching into your clutch for your phone, seeing that it was your sister you ignored the call.

“Well, goodnight Angel” you quickly kiss him on the cheek before you lose your nerve.

“Goodnight Y/N” he says

Angel watches you get into your car, but your car won’t start

“Shit” you open the door “Angel, is there any chance you can give me a jump start? I think my battery is flat” you ask

“I can’t give you a jump, but I can give you a lift home” he replies

“I have jumper leads in my car if that’s why you can’t give me a jump”

“That’s not the issue, I don’t have a car” he says

“Then how are you going to give me a lift?” you ask puzzled

Angel points to a motorcycle parked on the other side of the parking lot

“You’re kidding me right? I’m not getting on that”

Angel looks hurt “I promise I will keep you safe” he replies

You take a deep breath “Angel, if I die, so help me God I will haunt your ass”

He places his hand over his heart “I swear I won’t let anything happen to you”

You sigh jumping out of your car locking the door and heading over to Angels bike. He grabs a helmet off the handlebars putting it on your head and buckling it for you, tightening the strap.

“Okay where do you live?” he asks

You give him your address “Do you know where that is?”

“Yeah I do”

He climbs on his bike and you mimic his actions climbing on behind him

“Is this your first time on a bike?” he asks you

“Yeah it is” you reply a little bit afraid

“Well you’re going to love it, hold on tight and scream really loud if you need me to stop”

You wrap your arms tightly around Angels torso, hanging on for dear life, the bike roars to life and you pull out of the parking lot.

Soon you are flying down the main road, you soon start to relax feeling less frightened, suddenly there is a huge crack of lighting, lighting up the whole sky and rain starts pouring down. One of those freak summer storms that come out of nowhere. You tighten your grip around Angels waist. Soon the rain is falling so hard you can’t see anything in front of you and you are drenched.

Angel pulls the bike over and helps you off, he yells over the rain “There’s a gazebo in the middle of the park, he can take shelter there” he grabs your hand and you make a run for it.

You reach the gazebo and you start laughing, Angel looks like a drowned rat, you imagine you don’t look much better.

“What’s so funny Y/N?”

“You look like a drowned rat” you say still laughing

“Oh really? Well you don’t look much better” Angel replies taking a step towards you

he offers you his hand “Would you like to dance?” he asks you

You slide your hand into his “I would love too”

Angel pulls you into his chest and you start swaying back and forth, your head resting on Angel’s chest.

“Y/N?”

“Mmmm?” you reply looking up at him

His hand comes up and cups your cheek “I lied” he says

You look puzzled “About?”

“You don’t look like a drowned rat, you look absolutely gorgeous”

A blush starts to form across your cheeks, he slowly leans down and presses his lips to yours, kissing you softly, he slowly starts to tease your lips with his tongue. You slide your arms around Angel’s neck pulling him closer to you, kissing him deeply. A shiver ripples down your spine, Angel breaks the kiss, slightly pulling away

“I don’t think I’ve ever been so grateful for rain” he says smiling down at you

you just smile the same face breaking smile as earlier pulling him back towards you “Me neither” you reply kissing him again

Mucho bella. Estoy enamorado❤️

Undercover Alt. Ending #2

Dominick Carisi was the last person you needed to be seeing right now. The NYPD rarely sends in another UC unless they think someone is in danger or they think the UC has broken rank. And you were pretty sure it was the later in this instance. Part of you was angry but part of you understood. For over a year you were loyal about checking in, but recently you hadn’t made the effort to do so. It had been weighing on your mind for some time. The intel you had been feeding to your contact the last few months was false. Even though you had thought about getting out, you were too deep now. Your biggest fear was coming clean to Luis before he found out the truth.

The next day when you woke and was out the door as the sun was rising. Early morning was your favorite time to run. There was something about the still, new beginnings, refreshed from the night before. You took the cool Autumn air into your lungs. When you ran all other thoughts were out if your head.

An arm wrapped around your waist, then a hand went to your mouth to muffle your scream. You instantly started kicking trying to break loose.

“Stop. It’s me,” Sonny said. He put you back on your feet.

“Jesus Sonny. What the hell is wrong you!” You pushed at his chest and ripped your earbuds from your ears. “If someone sees us…” Although it was highly unlikely given your location and time of day.

“I know. I’m going to make this fast. I’m getting pressure from Liv. She wants you out. Said they have enough intel to put Luis and some of his associates away.”

You bit your lip. “I just need a little bit more time. Make them understand,” you pleaded with Sonny.

He took your hand. “I’m worried about ya, doll. You seem way too involved and it just-”

“I’m out Sonny.”

“Out? What do you mean? Not-no.” The two of your stood in silence for a few moments. “What the hell are you thinking Y/L/N?” Sonny threw his hands in the air.

“I love him, Sonny,” you said simply.“I gotta go.” You pulled your hand from Sonny’s. As you resumed your jog, you were uncertain what you would do…

Sonny watched as Y/N disappeared down the street. He would do anything to keep you safe. He loved you. And not just as a friend, or partner. That was the first time he admitted it to himself. Whatever choice you made, he would have your back. Even if it meant going down with you.

Luis entered the bedroom, loosened his tie and threw it over the chair. “You’re still up. I figured you would be asleep by now.” He dropped a kiss to your lips. Luis finished readying himself for bed while he talked about his day. “Y/N? Did you hear me?”

“I’m sorry. Pre-occupied,” you gave an explanation, shrugging your shoulders. “Um, no. There were no problems with today’s delivery.”

“What’s on your mind?” He sat on the side of the bed. Attentive as always. He tilted your chin. “You can tell me anything.”

Tears welled up in your eyes. Coming clean to Luis in the middle of the night is not what you had planned to do. Since you had the conversation with Sonny last week, it was all you could think about. Doing it now was dangerous but not telling him was just as bad. “What I have to tell you, you’re not going to like it. You’re going to hate me. Hell, you may even-”

“Carino. There’s nothing you could say that would make me hate you,” he interjected.

“I highly doubt that,” you scoffed.

A knock at the bedroom door interrupted your confession. No one ever came to the bedroom door, unless it was serious. “What is it?’ Luis said in an exasperated tone.

“Sir,” Fernando’s muffled voice came through the door. “It’s Carmen.”

Luis and you both rushed from the bed and wrenched open the door. The look on Fernando’s face told you it wasn’t good.

Carmen lay motionless. Her chest rose and fell with the assist of the ventilator. She looked so small in the big bed. You held her hand, gently stroking the back with your thumb as you read from her favorite book of poetry.

Luis went home to shower and take care of a few things. Both of you had been at the hospital for the last three days, pretty much around the clock. It was late. Only you in the room and Cesar was down the hall in the waiting area.

You sat the book down, taking her hand in both of yours. Taking a deep breath you made a late night confession.

The day of Carmen’s funeral was bitter cold with snow on the ground. After the service, Luis had people over to the house. You were making the rounds greeting people, making sure the food was right. Luis had been MIA since you had got home. No one had seen him, including Fernando. You had a pretty good idea where you would find him.

Sonny caught up with you in the hall. “How ya doin’? How’s Luis?”

“Like you care,” you snarked. Sonny’s face fell. “Shit. I’m sorry Sonny. That- I’m doing okay. Carmen was such a good person. Luis is well, it’s a minute to minute.”

“I better go.” He kissed the top of your head.

You watched him retreat down the hall. “Sonny. Thank you.”

He gave you a smile. “Anytime doll.” You returned the smile then was back to your original mission.

“Everyone is asking after you,” you said softly when you entered the library. Luis was sitting in one of the leather chairs, fanning through a book. You sat on the arm of the chair and ran a hand up and down his back.

He nodded his head. “She loved this room. I think she was in here more than her own part of the house.” Luis hung his head, sobbing so hard his body was shaking.

You wrapped your arms around him and kissed his head. He leaned into your body. Tears of your own started rolling from the corners of your eye. Carmen was an extraordinary woman. She accepted you the first time you met her. “Want me to get rid of everyone?” you offered. “We can have this place cleared out in five minutes.” You sniffled and wiped your eyes.

He shook his head. “It’s okay. Just stay by me?”

Later that evening Luis came into the family room. You were curled up in the corner of the couch watching the fire.  “Mama said if something happened to her, you were to have this.” He sat a small box in front of your on the coffee table. You gave him a questioning look. “Go ahead. Open it.”

The small box was covered in black velvet and had some age to it. When you opened the box you gasped. “Luis, I can’t…these are the earrings that belonged to your grandmother.”

“She loved you, Y/N. Made me promise to take care of you.” He took your hand. “The other night, when you were sitting with my mom, I was standing just outside the door. I heard what you told her.” His grasp on your hand tightened.

You paled. Your eyes grew big and you swallowed the lump in your throat. Your mouth was moving but no sounds came out. Your mind was racing, your mouth grew dry, you thought you were going to be physically ill.

Luis rose from the couch, letting your hand fall into your lap. He started pacing the room, one hand running through his hair. You sat in silence, watching him, wondering what he was thinking, what he was going to do. Finally, he spoke. “I have most of the answers I need, all but one. Tell me one thing. When did you stop acting?”

You cleared your throat. “About three months in,” your voice was shaky, “I realized I loved you. That has never been an act, Luis. Every ‘I love you’. Every time we made love. It was genuine. And I do love you, Luis.”

He looked over to where you were now standing, unsure whether to believe you. The conflict on his face was evident. He watched as you slowly walked to him. “So you’re just going to give up your life, to be with me?” He sounded surprised. Not many people, other than his mom, had ever sacrificed anything unless it was on their best interest.

“Yes,” you replied in a small voice. “I’m all in if you’ll have me. If you trust-”

Luis’ crashed his lips into yours backing you up against the wall. He pressed his long, hard body flush with yours.  His hand held yours above your head, while the other cupped your breast under your shirt. “You. Are. Mine,” he said between kisses to your neck and lips.

“Yes. Yours,” you responded breathlessly.

He grasped your thighs and hoisted you up, wrapping your legs around his waist. “Never leave me.”

“Never,” you gasped.

“Are you sure?” Liv asked not believing what she was hearing. She pushed herself up from her desk. “I- I’m speechless.”

“Love will make you do strange things. Make you risk everything you have, your life, friends, job…” Sonny looked down at his folded hands.

“Sonny?”

He looked at Liv and gave her a sad smile. He thought back to the conversation before you and Luis left out of the country…

“I could arrest you right now. Take you in-”

“But you won’t.”

Sonny stared at you. “What about me? What happens to me? I can’t-”

“Come with me, us,” you encouraged.  “You are important in my life too.”

For a second, you thought Sonny might take you up on the offer. “I can’t do that, doll. My parents, sisters are here. Plus I took an oath.”

“I understand.” You stretched up to give him a tight hug. “You always have a safe place to land with me. I love you Sonny Carisi.” You kissed him on the lips.

He inhaled your scent. “I love you too.”

Could I request Peter helping his gf study for a law school exam? I’m suffering since it’s three weeks before finals and I could use a Peter Stone to help me understand the rules of evidence admissibility lol

“Damn it!”, you yelled and threw the book across the table. “This is impossible.” You threw our glasses on the table and rubbed your eyes.

“Darling, what’s wrong?” Peter asked from the kitchen as he made you a snack.

“Rules of Evidence Admissibility is the bane of my existence,” you mumbled close to tears. “Finals are in three weeks and I just can’t wrap my mind around it.”

Peter licked peanut butter from his finger and slid the PB&J sandwich over to you. “Take a break. Eat. Then I’ll show you how I remembered it. We’ll make it a game.” Peter took a bite of his sandwich, a little grape jelly left behind on his lip.

You couldn’t stop staring. All you could think about was licking the jelly off his lip.

“Earth to Y/N.” Peter smirked when he got your attention.

“Yeah. That sounds good,” you responded.

“Okay. This is the flow chart I used,” Peter placed it in front of you. There were bubbles with writing, with intersecting lines from one bubble to another. And it was color coded.

“This is…impressive. You make this yourself?”

“Sure did,” he said proudly and grinned. “Let’s get started with something easy. What are the four types of evidence?”

“Real. Demonstrative. Documentary. Testimonial,” you ticked them off on your fingers as you listed.

“Good. Next one is going to be a little tougher…”

An hour and a half later you had a little better understanding but you were still struggling. “I’m going to fail. I’m never going to graduate. I’ll be in debt for thousands of dollars. And I’ll be living on the street.” You rested your head on your arms.

“Maybe you should have been a drama major. That was a pretty good performance,” he said in a teasing tone.

You narrowed your eyes. “Very funny. Maybe I just need a break.”

Peter ran his hand up your thigh. He leaned over nuzzling your neck. “Perhaps a little…distraction.”
