“Julian Michael!” Peter’s raised voice made you rush to the source.
“What’s wrong? Is he okay?” you questioned Peter as you pushed past him into the bathroom.
“It wasn’t me. It was Audra,” Julian accused as both of them sat in the middle of the bathroom floor covered in shaving cream.
“Oh my,” you commented trying to hold back a laugh. Shaving cream was literally everywhere. In their hair, faces, the walls, the floor, and the mirror. You covered your mouth and turned so the kids didn’t see the smile on your face and snickered.
“Don’t blame your sister, Julian. You’re the only one that can reach the sink,” Peter said with his hands on his hips and a stern look on his face. “Just look at this mess.”
“But-but I just wanted to be like you, Daddy. I wanted to shave.” Julian hung his head. “I’m sorry Daddy.” His lip pouted and he looked up at the two of you with the same eyes as Peter.
Audra continued to play in the shaving cream, totally unconcerned with Peter’s scolding. She giggled as she spread the shaving cream through her hair.
You burst out laughing. “I’m sorry. It’s just-just…” your laughter caused Audra and Julian to laugh. Tears were rolling down your cheeks.
“Real helpful, Y/N,” Peter chastised you and rolled his eyes.
“Oh lighten up Peter,” you retorted while holding on to your belly. “It could be a lot worse. Remember the Sharpie incident?” When Julian was two he found a Sharpie that Peter had left on his desk. He proceeded to draw all over Peter’s computer, case file, and desk. He was just getting ready to draw on his face when you intercepted.
“I suppose you’re right,” he returned and sighed.
“Well of course I am,” you concurred. You knelt down scooping up some of the shave cream and gave Peter a sly smile.
“You wouldn’t dare!” Peter cautioned when he saw the look in your eyes.
“Oh I would and I will,” you asserted.
Peter stopped you short of getting the shaving cream in his hair. He grabbed you around the waist making you squeal. “Okay, Julian get her!”
“Boys against girls!” Julian exclaimed.
Before you knew it all four of you were on the floor laughing and covered in shaving cream. Peter wiped shaving cream of your cheek. “I love you.”
You winked. “Love you too babe.”
