You heard the tell tale rhythm of bachata music as you let yourself back into the apartment. The music grew louder as you opened the door and even though you couldn’t see Nick, you knew that it must mean he was on a cleaning streak. Nick was singing along with Luis Varga when you followed the sound of the music to the kitchen. He was wearing a tank top and athletic shorts with his baseball hat on his head backwards and rotating his hips as he sang when you finally alerted him to your presence. He must have heard you come in, because he didn’t startle at all. He turned smoothly and dropped the sponge in his hand and pulled you into him in one move.
“How was brunch?” he asked as he spun you and pulled you back into him. You smiled up at him widely and swiveled your hips.
“Good,” you answered. “Seems I wasn’t the only one enjoying some mimosas,” you teased him.
