“Mmpf,” you mumbled as you came back into consciousness and pushed the comforter back from your mouth.

The bed was so comfortable you couldn’t imagine getting up to do anything. You turned your head in Sonny’s direction and adjusted your legs a little before going limp again. Your eyes were closed, but you could feel the sun trying to push past the blackout curtains. It warmed a sliver of your face where it traced along the openings between the curtains and danced across the floor towards the bed. 

Sonny’s hand was a warm, heavy weight on your waist. His thumb brushed back and forth slowly as the rest of him remained still and quiet. You brushed your legs together as you leveraged a little closer to him in the bed and then you moaned for another reason. There was a slight scratchiness high up on the inside of your thighs and when you slit your eyes open slightly Sonny’s growing beard came into focus.

“Whassamatter?” Sonny asked in response to your moan. All of his words slurred together in his not quite wakefulness.
