Sonny gently carressed your exposed skin. He was uncomfortable but seeing how peaceful you were there was no way he was going to make you move.
Studying your sleeping form he pondered how you could sleep in such awkward positions. A smile crossed his face. After years of kids sleeping across the bed, feet in the face both of you had learned to adapt to whatever position kept you on the bed. His hand strayed to your hair that was wild and soft.
Sonny closed his eyes, saying a silent prayer of thanks for you and the kids. You turned over in your sleep pushing your back to his side. Rolling over he gathered you to his chest. Pressing a kiss to your head he finally closed his weary eyes, pushing the darkness away.
