With alternate schedules, late nights, and a relationship neither of them are ready to disclose, it can be difficult for Mike and Peter to kiss. It’s scary too, when Mike is still just now coming to terms with his attraction. Most of their kisses happen in stolen moments on the job.

Treasured memories come from Mike lingering in Peter’s office just long enough after the rest of the squad leaves in order to capture a brief but warm kiss. All of Peter’s kisses are warm and full of emotion, no matter how long or short, deep or chaste. Other times they kiss in deserted hallways on their way through the precinct. Still others, they find a moment in the single-stall bathrooms for a longer kiss that finds Peter’s hands up the back of Mike’s shirt feeling the firm muscles that stay hidden too much.

Every now and then, though, they’re lucky enough to have the same morning off to spend lazily making out in bed while the world wages on outside.
