I hope this gives you a feel of what Reader B is feeling about the whole… situation.😘
“It’s like those stupid movies, where the guys are pining for the girl and she falls in love with both of them and has this dramatic monologue about how she can’t choose which man because she loves them both equally in different ways. That’s my fucking life right now, I’m the clueless dimwit who got stuck in the middle of this crazy game of tug of war. What I hate is that it took me this long to realize that I was even in this situation. I’m not complaining that they’ve taken an interest in me because both Peter and Nick are incredible guys with great personalities and I mean… they are hot. The problem is I am so naive and I let this go on for too long and the tension between the two is just building and building and they keep trying to one-up each other for my attention. It’s like I’m back in fucking middle school.” You sigh exasperatedly.
“Okay, I’ve got a few things to point out. One, you just monologued. Two, you are pretty clueless and naive. Three, you need a reality show. Lastly, do you…love them?” Lucy asks, her legs crossed as she sits on the floor across from you.
“No…” Your eyes sweep across the gym landing on Nick sparring then on Peter doing pull-ups. “But if I’m not careful I will.”
“Trust me, when it comes to falling in love, there’s no such thing as careful.” Lucy stands up, patting your shoulder. “I give you props though, you’re handling with this pretty well.” She snickers.
“Dealing with– Lucy, I’m living a fucking soap opera. I am not handling this ‘pretty well’. I stayed up last night watching Marley and Me and ice cream to get my mind off of everything.”
“Did it work?” She asks, reaching out a hand to help you off the floor.
“No… Nick showed up with pizza.” You sigh, trying to hide the blush on your face.
