lesbiancarisi:

Okay listen listen listen listeN I have so much plot I wanna share on so many levels. Hhhhhhhh the two big ones rn that I’m thinking about are “Hunting Grounds” and “Last Straw” so enjoy a bit of both. //

(Hunting Grounds)

“I’m worried about Nick,” you tell Sonny. Now that he’s finally out of the medbay, Nick has been a bit different. He’s more aggressive, he keeps getting frustrated at the repercussions of another head injury and his limp, and he has more nightmares. “He can’t drink because of the painkillers, but he’s doing something to relieve the stress.”

“What’re you talking about?”

You give Sonny an annoyed look. “He leaves the room and comes back five minutes later a lot calmer. You and I both know he’s not doing something good.”

He could be just taking a deep breath, but you know Nick and you know it’s not the case. He’s been good about not drinking, having gone through the withdrawals while he was still under Lena’s care, and he knows better than to mix it with his pills. That was drilled into him very firmly when he reached for whiskey the first chance he had.

“I’m sure it’s fine,”

Although you disagree, you don’t argue with Sonny. He’s stressed enough right now as it is with all of his enemies closing in.

(Last Straw)

Why her? Nick hasn’t spoken to her in years- they didn’t exactly part on good terms- so why would they take her and how did they even find her? She’s innocent. He has too many questions in his mind as he jams his gun into the waistsband of his pants. Cool metal soothes the still-tender skin of a new tattoo on his thigh, the pain of which he can’t even begin to think about when someone’s in danger.

Luckily, you and Sonny stay asleep wrapped up in each other as Nick gets ready to leave. If you were to wake up, you’d no doubt try and stop him from leaving. He can’t do nothing, though, not after hearing how afraid she was when Peter called telling him to come save her life. The whole thing is definitely a trap, but he’s been through this enough with you and Sonny to know what to do to solve the situation.

Nick leans over the bed to kiss your cheek and Sonny’s temple before he leaves. After last time, he promised to never leave without saying goodbye in one way or another. If he’s lucky, he’ll be back before you’re even awake.

He silently opens and shuts the bedroom door so as not to disturb you. Few people roam the halls at this hour, and fewer dare ask him what he’s doing or where he’s going when he takes the keys to Sonny’s car out of the key cabinet. It’s the one he’s most comfortable with, since Nick doesn’t usually do much driving. You do, more than anyone, because of your insistence on coming dangerous places and Sonny’s refusal to let you put yourself into harm’s way.

This time he’s on his own.
