You laid in bed and checked your phone. Looking over you saw that Peter was still asleep. Sighing you got out of bed and got into the shower. You let the water wash over your head and drip down your body. “hey…” said a light voice. “hey.” You said turning and looking at him through the curtain. “can we get a cat? Or a dog?” “sure…?” he said a little confused. You turned off the water and stepped out. You grabbed your towel and wrapped yourself in it before leaning against Peters chest. “Why all the sudden?” “I want something or someone to hold when your gone..” you said letting go and walking away.
You ran towards the car and hopped in. “Your acting like a child!” He said laughing. You giggled and turned to him. “Yeah well I’m excited!” You said with a ginormous grin. “Let’s get a dog!” You said as he started the car. Driving to the local pet adoption Center you couldn’t stop talking about names and toys and how cute it will be. Once the car stopped you got out and ran inside. “Hi!” “Hi! We’re looking for a dog.” You said to the lady at the front. Peter walked in behind you and put his arm around your shoulders. “Right this way.” She said guiding you down a long hallway. At the end there was a door. She opened it and led you inside to a room full of toys, cages, food, water and puppies. You smiled and picked one up. “Are they already named?” Asked Peter as one of them jumped up and put its paws on his leg. “Nope!” The lady said leaving.
You both played with puppies and after an hour most of them got bored with you. “I like this one.” You said picking up a small yellow and brown spotted one. “He’s cute y/n.” He said petting the little one. Only two had stayed after the others left. “We can’t leave him…” peter looked at you and saw your puppy eyes looking at him. “Never have I seen so many puppy eyes.” He said chuckling. “Pete…” you said looking at him. “Alright!” You smiles and picked up the other one. Bringing them to the lady Pete payed as you picked out toys, treats, food and a bed. You went to the local pet supplies store and bought two cages for them. When you got home you sat down on the floor and opened the new toys. “Pete! Come here!” You said as he walked by you. He smiled and sat down beside you playing with the puppies.
After supper you all snuggled up on the couch. “We need names.” You stated. “Spot! And Shadow.” You said pointing at each dog. “I like those names.” He said kissing your nose gently. You nuzzled your head into his neck and closed your eyes. The dogs jumped up onto the couch and snuggled in between the two of you. You giggled. “Thank you Pete.” You said sleepily. “Your welcome y/n.” He said kissing your head.
