“Good morning ,Y/N.” Peter flashed his mega watt smile straight to you. “You look ravishing today.”
“Thank you Mr. Stone. I know blue is your favorite color.” You smirked and brushed past him continuing to your office. When you turned to look back, he was watching you, so you put a little extra sway in your hips.
Smiling to yourself, you got settled in for the day. You enjoyed the little flirting game you had with Peter. It made work a little easier to deal with.
Glancing up at the clock, you realized you had worked through lunch. Sighing, you stood and stretched. Planning to grab something from the vending to hold you over to your date, you exited yor office, only to collide with Peter.
“Oh, Y/N. I am so sorry” Peter apologized. He steadied you and made sure you were ok.
“I’m fine. Really”, you reassured him. Just a little foggy from missing lunch. Gonna grab a snack.“
“You need a proper meal. Let me take you to dinner tonight”, Peter offered. “It’ll be my way of saying sorry.”
“Really. I’m fine. Besides I have a date this evening”, you informed him.
“Oh. Of course you do.” His cheeks flushed just a bit. “How could you not?”
“Well I couldn’t wait around for you to ask me out. Could I? And when you finally do-” you were stopped by Peter.
“I’m too late.” He grinned. “I get it.”
Gazing up at him through your lashes, “Doesn’t mean I’d say no to a nightcap”, you countered and tapped his nose with your index finger.
Peter gawked at you. “Uh, I, uh” he was so cute when he stammered. He was fun to fluster.
“Relax Peter. I was joking. See you in the morning.” And with a little grin, you sauntered down the hall.
