Thank you! I am! I hope you are as well! Thank you for this prompt because I love writing sleepy Rafa!
You walk into apartment, exhausted, but missing your baby. You look up, biting back your smile as you feel your entire body soften. You take off your shoes, leaving them by the door with the rest of the mess in this apartment. It looks like a tornado came through the apartment, but you just don’t care. You take a deep breath and walk towards your husband.
You slip onto the couch, feeling him stir, pulling you into his body sleepily, “Why did we have a kid?” He grumbles sleepily into you skin.
You laugh lightly, “Because we had fun making one,” you answer as you curl your entire body into him, “Where is Dylan?”
“Asleep. And if you wake him, I will kill you,” He laughed lightly, kissing your neck.
“I won’t wake him then,” You sigh softly as you run your fingers through his already disheveled hair.
“Our mijo missed you,” He said, sitting up, rubbing his eyes.
You watch as he rubbed his eyes, “I miss him so much. You have no idea,” you mumble.
“Do you regret going back to work?”
“No. I just regret the fact knowing how much my job will pull me away from him,” You sigh heavily before you pull him back, curling into his warmth.
“Then how about we go and try to make another one?” He grinned mischievously.
“Mmm no.” You groan as you weakly push him back.
“Okay,” He grinned lopsidedly, “Let go to bed mi amor,” He murmured before he lead you to the bedroom.
You strip down to your undergarments, feeling his eyes on your skin as you drop your bra into the hamper and putting your hair into a messy bun before you pull on one of his night shirts and crawl under the mercy of the sheets.
You watch as Rafa joins you moments later, pulling you back into his arms, “I know you feel guilty for working. I know that you want to just curl up with Dylan every minute of every day, but I promise you this. Your love will carry him through ever day. Your love will hold him up babe. Don’t feel guilty for wanting to ensure our lil nino a strong future.”
You blink back tears, kissing him slowly, tasting the faint hints of scotch and coffee, “How do you always know what to say?” You question thickly.
“Did you forget I am a lawyer?” He grinned.
Sigh
