I Hate You

minidodds:

“I hate you, I hate you, I hate you.” These are the first
words Mike hears when he walks into your apartment. You have just moved in
together, and were still in the process of unpacking; hence your apartment was
a mess of boxes.

Mike makes his way over to you, carefully stepping around
boxes. He finds you in the bedroom, standing on the bed with a paper towel roll
in your hand. You blow your hair out of your face in exhaustion.

“Babe, what’s the matter?”

“Mike, I swear I saw the biggest beetle crawling on the
floor. In the time I went to get the paper towels, it disappeared. Probably
under the bed. And I bet it’ll come out at night, when we’re sleeping, and
crawl up face. So I need to exterminate it before it wins.”

Mike just chuckles at your explanation. He walks over to you
and takes the paper towers from your hand. Then he lies on his stomach on the floor,
in search of the bug. Always your savior. You hear a thud under the bed, and
Mike slowly starts crawling back.

“Did you get it?”

“Yea, found the culprit, you’ll be able to sleep safely once
again.” He smiles at you as he wraps the body of the offender in a paper towel.
You watch him leave to the kitchen, to make certain that the bug makes it into
a trash can. When you see Mike coming back with empty hands, you can finally
relax.

“Best thing about moving in with you, I don’t have to kill
bugs by myself anymore.”

“Is that really the best thing?” Mike says, as he puts his
hands under your butt and pulls you to him. You know where this is going, so
you instinctively wrap your legs around his waist and lean down to kiss him.

“Well, maybe there’s just one other benefit,” you say as you
deepen the kiss.
