Rafael in the morning is someone that Sonny feels unspeakably lucky to get to witness every single day when they get up for work. Before coffee, he’s quiet and clingy, softly asking for five more minutes while he refuses to let Sonny get out of bed. When he finally lifts his head from the pillow, his hair is a mess flattened on one side of his head and sticking up all over the place elsewhere.
“Your bedhead is really cute,” Sonny muses, already awake and alert. He’s been a morning person his whole life, a fact that’s annoyed Rafael countless times. “Well, all of you is cute, but-”
“Call me cute again, I dare you.”
He laughs a little as he pulls the covers off of him. “You’re mean before coffee.”
“Then bring me some?”
Even if he wanted too, Sonny couldn’t say no. He hums an affirmative and goes to the kitchen to turn on the machine for Rafael’s morning fix.
