you’re respectful of it. mostly curious at first because Nick would come over to your place or have you stay with him at the club house. the club house is kinda gross, though, and you know he has a house and wondered why you two never went there. obviously that’s his personal space so you didn’t want to be rude, but about 6 weeks in you brought it up during a date. he kind of makes a joke and hedges around it, but he does take you to his house after that date that night. you two stay in the guest room and he says it’s because his bedroom is a mess. that continues for another couple of weeks before he finally admits that no one other than diego has been in his bedroom since his dad left. you drop it after that. the guest room is nice and nick always stays in it with you when you spend the night at his place so you’re content to respect his wishes.
