Prompt #9 : “Baby you’re all that I want, when you’re lying here in my arms.”
Request : “Would it be possible to have ’ baby you’re all that I want when you’re lying here in my arms’ with sonny?x”
Pairing : Sonny Carisi x Female Reader
A/N : It is a little short, but I personally liked the way this fill turned out. There will be a little reference from Prompt #1 : “Heaven is a place on earth with you.” so read that one first if you want to! That prompt took place when you and Sonny were still dating while this one took place a little later when you were already married. Happy reading!

You turned off the tap, finally finish washing all of the dishes from dinner earlier. Walking out of the kitchen, you went over to every window and door in your house, checking if everything had been securely locked. Once it was done, you made your way towards the direction of your bedroom, but stopped immediately when you heard a sound coming from the room next to it.
“Baby you’re all that I want, when you’re lying here in my arms,” Sonny’s voice rang through the air, off pitch but somehow it put the biggest smile on your face.
Just when you were about to peek in from the little gap between the door and its frame, a little girl’s voice broke in, “I’m finding it hard to believe, we’re in heaven.”
A series of giggles followed soon afterwards. You finally decided to open the door, making your presence known. Two heads turned around at the sound of the door creaking open, and you were instantly greeted by the warm smiles from the two most important people in your whole world.
“I thought you are supposed to be asleep by now?” You raised your eyebrow at your daughter, who quickly rested her head on her pillow and pulled up the covers across her body.
“Daddy was singing the Heaven song so I could go to sleep,” she told you, reaching her hand towards Sonny who gladly accepted it. “But Daddy’s voice is bad, Mommy, not like yours.”
“Hey!” Sonny tickled the side of your daughter’s small frame, making her squeal in response. She squirmed around trying to get away from Sonny’s every poke. “That’s not very nice,” your husband said.
“Sorry Daddy!” she uttered out between breaths.
You took a seat on the edge of the bed, taking her other hand that wasn’t tangled in Sonny’s fingers. You peppered little kisses onto it. “How about we sing the Heaven song together? But you have to promise me you’ll go to sleep after that.”
“I promise, Mommy.” She smiled brightly, presenting your chest with a sudden overwhelming feeling of affection. She glanced up at Sonny, offering him the same smile she had given to you. “Daddy can sing too. I still like your voice even though it’s bad.”
Sonny chuckled deeply before kissing her forehead. You started to sing the first verse, urging Sonny and your daughter to step in along. The three of your voices chimed in through the atmosphere, a melody better than any masterpiece you had ever heard. Your daughter had stopped singing when you got to the first refrain. She had fallen asleep somewhere on the second verse. You stopped your singing, taking a little more time to process in her innocent and peaceful expression as she drifted away to the land of dreams.
You kissed her forehead one last time, before turning to Sonny who was looking back and forth between you and your little angel. “What?” you asked through a chuckle.
“Nothing.” He shrugged, smiling. “Just… happy.”
You stretched out your arm to take his hand in yours, squeezing it gently. “Let’s go to bed. We still have another early day tomorrow.”
You slowly raised yourself from the bed, smoothing out the covers and making sure your daughter was comfortable. You quietly padded your way towards the door, careful not to make any noises as Sonny tailed close behind you. You stopped at the door frame for a minute more, treasuring the sight of your little girl right before your eyes. A familiar hand sneaked its way around your waist, and you immediately melted into the touch, leaning back towards the hard chest that was also your source of warmth. Sonny planted a kiss on the top of your head, and you could almost listen to the calming beats of his heart from where you had rested your head.
“We made that,” Sonny whispered softly, his chest vibrating with every word he stated.
You glanced up towards him, taking in his every feature you still loved so much even after all of these years. You couldn’t help but admire the way his bright eyes shine, the graying hair on either side of his temples, and the adoration in his eyes as he stared ahead at your daughter. Yours and his. A little miracle who was also the real proof of the love you two shared together.
“We did,” you replied, moving your gaze back onto the sleeping form on the bed. “I think we did a pretty good job, didn’t we?”
Sonny turned you around in his arms. His eyes softened so much more when they locked with yours. He leaned down slowly, pressing the softest kiss to your lips that barely lasted for a second, but it sent the same effect on you as you felt your toes curl from the immense intensity. He pulled back to rest his forehead against yours, his eyes boring into your soul.
A smile grew in the corner of his lips before he whispered, loud enough for you to hear it above the frantic thumping of your heart, “We definitely did.” He smiled. “Are you finding it hard to believe that we’re in heaven, baby?” he asked, quoting one of your favorite lyrics from the song.
You reached up to caress his cheek, enjoying the feeling of his skin under the pads of your fingers. “Heaven is a place on earth when I’m with you, Sonny,” you said with a smile.
Sonny’s eyes lit up with remembrance. You smiled knowingly at him, recalling the memory in your brain as if it only happened yesterday. He shook his head at you, a large mixture of expression taking over his face as he pulled you in for another kiss, making sure that your heart understand just how perfect your life really was.
Making sure that his heart know just how perfect everything finally was.
