Peter Stone x Reader

The night sky was always something that amazed you. You could remember being a kid and staring out your window at night, telescope lens to your eye as you gazed up at the brightly glowing, cratered orb on the black backdrop of a sky. You traced out constellations with your fingers, wishing they could really brush up against the stars. You caught sight of meteors dancing across the sky and the flashing lights of the planes overhead. Although the night brought a sense of eeriness, you also felt an odd sense of comfort.

You sigh as you back away from the window and walk back toward your bed, slipping under the covers you nestle deep into your bed in attempts to get comfortable. Your attempts to fall asleep prove to be futile as you toss and turn, staring up at the ceiling trying to push back the images of Peter falling apart in your arms. You couldn’t imagine what he feels after watching his sister gunned down right in front of him, you couldn’t bring yourself to even try to imagine that happening to your sibling. Your phone vibrates and flashes from the nightstand and you lean over, lifting the phone to look at the message.

Peter: You awake?

(y/n): Yes

Peter: Can I call you?

(y/n): Yeah.

Almost instantaneously your phone begins vibrating and flashing, Peter’s name appearing on the screen and you press the green button and bring the phone to your ear before laying back in the bed, plush comforter tangled around your limbs.
