Wanna bet with peter?

‘Mahattanites, prepare for at least 8 inches of snow this weekend. The snow will start Saturday morning around 7am’, the weatherman announced. The TV was playing in the living room while you made breakfast. Grabbing two mugs from the cabinet you filled them with freshly brewed coffee.

“Did I hear that right? At least 8 inches?” Peter inquired as he entered the kitchen and gave you a peck on the cheek.

“Hmmm….same as I got last night”,raising a brow and giving him a wry grin.

He blushed and grinned. You had been together a long time, married for five years, two kids and you can still catch him off guard. Laughing and shaking your head, you passed him a mug of coffee, no cream, one pack of sweetener.

“And what’s so funny?” Peter commanded, “I don’t recall you laughing last night kitten.

And just like that his demeanor changes. You locked eyes with him. He finished doing up his tie, and fastened his cuff links. His gaze never leaving yours. You felt your entire body flush. Peering at him over the rim of your mug, you gave him a wink.

Your five your old son, Julian, came bounding into the room breaking your trance. “Mmmm..pancakes” he said. He grabbed a juice box and sat at the table. He had your dark hair and eyes, other than that he was Peter through and through, full of energy and very much a morning person

Slowly trailing behind was you two year old daughter, Audra, rubbing the sleep from her hazel eyes. She reached her arms up to Peter, not saying a word. Definitely not a morning person, just like you. He scooped her up, and she rested her head on his shoulder. He kissed her curly blonde hair and swayed back and forth.

“Breakfast is ready”, you announced. Audra squirmed in Peter’s arms, ready to eat.

Peter chuckled. “She is just like you. Wants me until food is an option.” He kissed her chubby cheek before putting her down and then grabbed the platter of pancakes.

You stuck your tongue out at him. “Hey. We like our food, okay?”

Peter helped Julian plate his food, and you cut up Audra’s pancake. “Looky, Munchy, I’mma pancake monster”, Julian said to Audra and shoved a mouth full of food into his mouth. This earned him a laugh from his little sister.

“C’mon bud. We need to go so you’re not late for school.” Julian took his plate to the kitchen and went to grab his backpack. Peter wiped Audra’s face and helped her down from her seat. “What are are you ladies doing today?”, Peter asked as he helped you clear the table.

“We’ll probably hit the grocery, laundry, the usual”, you placed the dishes in the sink.

“See if Maxine can watch Audra and come have lunch with me.” He came up behind you, pressing long, hard body against yours.

“ ’Lunch’, huh? After last night there’s no way you got it in you” you teased as you pressed yourself back against him.

Wanna bet?”, he growled into your ear.

“I’m ready dad!”, Julian called from the foyer.

“Be there in a minute Bud”, he called to him and he turned his attention back to you, “Be at my office at noon. Understand, kitten?” He tracked kisses up your neck.

“Hmmm…noon. I’ll be there.”, he swatted your bottom.

“Audra come give Daddy a kiss.” She toddled into the kitchen, he knelt down and kissed her, “Love you Munchy.”

“Ov you to Daddy.”, she have him a sloppy kiss in the cheek.

“Ladies, have a good day.”, he turned, pulled you to him, and gave you a kiss that made your toes curl, “Noon.”

You smirked, “I’ll bring my appetite.”
