//Thanks babe! Nick is so damn adorable.//
Nick winked at you from across the room. You blew him a kiss in return. “Oh, gah. You two are giving me a cavity”, Sonya, Nick’s sister said and rolled her eyes. Both of you broke out into a fit of giggles. “I am so happy Nicky met you. You have been so good for him. He’s calmer, more settled. Plus I got a best friend and sister out of the deal.”
“You’re gonna make me cry.” You pull one another in for a big hug. “Thank you for being my maid of honor. I can’t believe I’m getting married tomorrow!”
“ And I’m going to have a sister!” , she exclaimed.
The rehearsal dinner was being held at Graham’s on Main. It was a small, intimate setting. Much like your wedding would be. Your parents were talking with Nick’s mom, everyone seemed to be having a good time.
You were taking everything in. This time tomorrow you would be Mrs. Amaro. Nick come up behind you and slide his arms around your waist. “What are you thinking about sweetheart?”, Nick asked.
“Just wishing it was tomorrow so I would be your wife”, you smiled and caressed his hands.
“Me too angel. I can’t wait to start my life with you, have babies’, he moved his hands down to your belly.
“Is that right? And how many do you foresee in our future?” you turned to face him.
He grinned and rubbed his chin “Hmm, three, four, maybe five?”
“Five?”, your eyebrows shot up, “I guess you plan on keeping me barefoot and pregnant?”, you could’t help but laugh.
“Like that would be a bad thing?”, he countered softly.
“No not at all. I really look forward to making those babies with you” you bit lip, cheeks blushing slightly.
“You have no idea how much I look forward to it. Come mi amor”, you took his proffered hand, “let’s go eat. Need to keep our strength up.” He raised one eyebrow and looked you up and down.
You playfully smacked his arm, “You are too much sometimes!”
The night before the wedding, you stayed with you parents. You and Nick had decided not to see one another until you were walking down the aisle.
Just as you were drifting off to sleep a loud noise jerked you awake. Adjusting to the dark, you recognized the figure in the bedroom window. What the hell was Nick doing here and climbing through the window. Leaning over you turned on the bedside lamp. “Nicky, is there a reason you’re crawling through my window? We aren’t supposed to see one another until the wedding.”
He looked at his watch and shrugged, “It’s only 11:50. I just wanted to see one more time.” He sat down on the bed beside you. His eyes were sparkling.
“Well there’s this thing called a door”, you gave him a wry grin.
He chuckled softly, and took your hand in his. His face became serious. “I wanted to make sure you aren’t going to change your mind. I mean, the baby talk this evening. I-”
“Stop”, you put your finger to his lips, “it’s what I want too.” He lifted his head, worry melting away. “Maybe we’ll get started tomorrow night?”, waggling your brows.
He leaned in to kiss you. He glanced at the clock on the bedside, 11:59. “I better go. I’ll see you tomorrow. I love you so much”, he caressed your cheek.
“I love you too, babe.” He started climbing out the window. “Hey.” He turned back to look at you, “I’ll be the one in white.” He gave you a big grin and went out the window.
