luh ya ❤ I want to write this into fic one day, but my brain isn’t giving my anything right now so have some hcs today/random little bits instead!

-waking up early, before the sun is even up, and getting dressed in near darkness. sonny with soft hair tugging a sweatshirt over his head because he’s the one who insisted on an early start, “so we can see the sun rise, doll.”

-sonny knew you weren’t super psyched about the early morning start so he made sure to prep your favorite breakfast the night before so it’s ready to go. He makes coffee and pours it into to go cups for both of you, yours made exactly right.

-sleepy morning kisses as you pass each other in the bathroom because sonny always gets distracted by you in the morning. even when he’s barely awake

-sonny carrying the bags to the rented car and only allowing you to carry the bag that has breakfast and road trip snacks in it

-escaping the city just as dark inky sky gives way to watercolor deep purple. the sun kissing the side of sonny’s face as it rises, warm and pink on his profile.

-sonny’s hand a warm presence on your leg as he drives.

-feeding him bits of breakfast because he insists that both of his hands are too busy.

-singing along to the radio as it goes in and out as you two drive. sonny knowing the words to almost all of the songs and singing along with a crinkly eyed smile in your direction

-the windows down and blowing cool air gently around the inside of the car, sonny’s hair blowing in the wind and him reaching over to tuck a strand of yours behind your ear

-sonny bringing your hand to his lips briefly to press a kiss to it, thumbing your wedding band, before he drops it and resumes his hand’s residence just above your knee

-*whispers* road head (…oh gosh now I really want to write more on this last one…)
