Part 1
You were lying down on the couch reading your favorite book
when your fiancé came in, juggling a ton of bags on his arms.“Sonny,” you called to him. “Need help?”
“Nah babe, you just sit there and keep junior safe.”
You rolled your eyes at his use of the word ‘junior.’ You
were pregnant with your first child and Sonny had insisted it was a boy. You both
had decided to not know the sex until the baby was born, but that didn’t stop
you from disagreeing on whether Sonny was right. Regardless, the two of you
were so excited to be having a baby together. Sonny had talked about getting
you pregnant for a while now. He couldn’t wait to start his own little family.“I see us having four kids,” he had said
one night while you two were cuddling in bed“Oh really?” you
questioned. “Why is that?”“Well for starters my
parents had four kids. I think it is the perfect number. Even though I never
had a brother, one of my sisters was always in a fight with the other two, so
at any given time, I always had a friend.” He chuckled. Your heart melted at
the thought of starting a family with Sonny. You wanted nothing
more than to have a little one of your own. You knew you were destined to be a
mother and Sonny a father.“What’s on your mind,
doll?” Sonny noticed your brows furrowed in thought.“I was just thinking
about how magical it would be to have our own little bundle of joy. Made of
love… half me… half you…” you had to stop when Sonny began to kiss your neck.“Babe,” you half
laughed, half whined. “What are you doing?” he rolled himself on top of you and
brushed the hair out of your face.“Let’s start now,” he
says, looking directly into your eyes.“Now? But we’re not
even married yet Sonny.”“Then let’s set a
date. I can’t wait any longer, Y/N. I want you to be my wife. And I want us to
have kids. It makes me so happy to think of our lives together.”You could only smile
at the sweet, sweet man looking down at you. He shuffled back to your side and
held you close.“Hey Sonny…” you trailed
off.“Yes, doll?”
“Just because we aren’t
planning for kids now doesn’t mean we can’t practice,” you said softly, staring
at the wall in front of you.Sonny bit his lip and
pulled you closer to him, pressing a hungry kiss against your lips. That was ten months ago. Today officially marked one week
past your due date. You were absolutely fed up. You were huge, hungry, and
always having to pee. Not to mention the fact that your little one made no
effort to come out any time soon. You had loved being pregnant so much. Sonny
was amazing to you during this time, but you wanted to meet your child so bad. You
were 41 weeks pregnant and there was no indication that the baby was coming any
time soon.“Babe, please let me help you. I am so bored being here all
day since the doctor ordered bed rest. Let me do something,” you whined.Sonny walked over to you and placed a simple peck on the tip
of your head.“You better not get up, doll. I have everything under
control. I went out today to get last minute supplies and I’m cooking you your
favorite dinner tonight.” You smiled. How did you get so lucky?“How are you so calm and collected? I have been driving
myself absolutely nuts! Its so frustrating to be so huge and pregnant and not
be able to do anything, let alone have the damn kid! I just want to hold this
baby in my arms and give it all the love in the world, but IT WON’T COME OUT!”
you stop, realizing that you were yelling.“Doll, it is okay. You are okay. Just take a deep breath for
me. That’s it baby, in and out.” He breathed with you for about a minute before
taking your hands in his own.“It is perfectly normal to be overdue, Y/N. remember what
the doctors said. Freaking out is not good for you or the baby. Everything’s okay.
We will get through this together and in the end, we are going to have our own
beautiful, healthy baby boy.”“Or girl,” you scoff. Even if the two of you couldn’t agree
on gender, you were so lucky to have him. He was so brave for you and you were
so lucky to be his. He was your rock. That night you got up to go to the bathroom. Again. Everything
was fine until you reached the bathroom door. You felt a small twinge of pain
but didn’t think much of it. Suddenly, your body doubled over, and you let out
a lengthy yelp. Before you could call Sonny to your side, you felt a rush of
liquid running down your thighs and onto the floor.Surprisingly, you were calm. You finished up in the bathroom
and put a towel on the floor to soak up the liquid. You brushed your teeth, put
on a fresh pair of clothes, applied some makeup, and shaved the parts of your
body you could actually reach. You tiptoed through you and Sonny’s shared
bedroom, as not to wake him. You walked into the nursery to make sure everything
was clean and put up for your new baby before picking up the hospital bag and setting
it next to the door. Next, you walked into the kitchen and got out some eggs
and bacon. Sonny usually cooked you food but you decided to let him sleep. He had
been so amazing the past few weeks, so you wanted him to get as much rest as
possible before your little one enters the world.30 minutes later, you had bacon, toast, orange juice, and
Sonny’s favorite omelet waiting for him on the table. It was 6:30 in the
morning, and the light was starting to shine through the blinds and onto Sonny’s
perfect body. You contemplated letting him sleep for even longer, but you knew sooner
or later you would need a ride.“Baby,” you spoke softly as you rubbed his upper back.
“Baby wake up.” He groaned and rolled over onto his back,
smiling up at you.“I made you breakfast, come eat. I have a feeling we are
going to have a long day ahead of us.”
Going to love this series. Can’t wait for part 2!
