Nick’s Style
Some stuff I’ve noticed about how Nick behaves on duty
– After cuffing a perp, he says “Let’s take a walk.”
– If he has to give up his gun in a hostage situation, he doesn’t drop the magazine to the floor (like Rollins), he pockets it.
– When he hears something that doesn’t add up, he cocks his head to the right slightly.
– Nick never asks questions in an interrogation. He spins a narrative with a questioning lilt to his sentences every now and then. The one eyebrow raise, when he wants the suspect to continue.
– He doesn’t like to go undercover, and he’s not very good at it either.
– Aiming with his right hand on top, index finger on the trigger with the tip brushing his thumb.
– His style of protection is physical. He puts himself between the danger and the victim, and will physically move what he perceives as the danger if they get too close.
– No matter what, his emotions are physical. And not just punching things when he’s angry, no- he shows protectiveness physically (see above). He comforts with actions, not words. When he’s anxious he plays with pens. Any sort of high emotion makes him get really up in people’s face, whether it’s a drug lord or the ADA.
– Phone on the left side of his coat when he wears one, and when he doesn’t- which is most of the time- it’s clipped to his belt on the left side. He keeps his gun on the right.
– Aversion to ties
